Its been a while since the last post. I'm not sure how long. The days are blurring into each other. This, I'd imagine, could be the case for many in the current lockdown. That's all I can really say about the situation. This blog has been a way for me to occupy the mind. Whether people read it or not doesn't really matter.

I haven't been taking any shots outside lately as I don't feel like recording the situation. We've all seen the face mask photos, the empty streets and empty shelves etc. Wielding a camera in the streets right now, hoping to capture some shots that reflect the atmosphere is like being some kind of catastrophe tourist. Unless you're a reporter its akin to writing direct, literal songs about a political situation that everyone already knows about. For me songs are not really supposed to just condense newspaper articles into three minutes with a melody. Unless executed extremely well, trying to make any sort of commentary, politically or socially, through any kind of artistic pursuit, can often come across as obvious and inauthentic. That's not to say it can't be done well however.

And so the following shots are just images of things that caught my attention while being sojourned in my flat and some I took before the lockdown. I look forward to getting back out when things have returned to some sort of normalcy. Although who's to say when that will be and what it may look like.
